When you're in Dixon...

The band's first road trip was a success. In Davenport IA, on Friday night, Tim Stopulos and the Trio (justin hooks, seville lilly, michael tahlier) played its first show and all was right with the world. Almost. There were a few snags along the way. Case in point, Uncle Selv refused to drive the van any faster than 60 MPH on the way there, adding about an hour to the trip, and at one point we were heading down the wrong lane of a barricaded two way street. But we made it.

Davenport treated us well all weekend. The people are nice, the weather was great. The Redstone Room is a fantastic venue. The sound you get there is better than any other venue that size. Our only complaint about D-port would be that the service left a little something to be desired. Still, we hope to be back very soon. And we hope to see you there when we come.

Tim Stopulos at Redstone Room this Friday

This coming Friday, 9.26.08, the Tim Stopulos Trio will be performing at the Redstone Room in

Davenport, IA. Technically, it's the Trio's (Tim, Justin Hooks, Seville Lilly) last gig, since they just added guitarist Michael Tahlier. So come see TST's historic final show in the place where it all started, and ended: The Redstone Room. Pauly Knapp opens, be there at 8:30.

Introducing Michael Tahlier

The Tim Stopulos Trio has added a new member. Guitarist Michael Tahlier (nickname to be dubbed later) will join the Trio on stage beginning on September 26 at the Redstone Room in Davenport, IA. Michael is a Berklee trained virtuoso who seamlessly combines a modern jazz background with an innate pop/rock sensibility. His playing adds depth and power to the piano-based Trio, and fully captures the sound and ideas set fourth in Tim's album 'The Long Drive Home'. Come see his debut performance Friday 9/26 at the Redstone Room.
